Association for Savings & Investments Union

Europe faces the challenge of mobilising more private capital for growth, competitiveness, and investment. With the Savings and Investments Union, the European Union has made this objective a central political priority.

The Association for the Savings and Investments Union is being established as an independent European platform to support this process and bring together leading stakeholders from academia, the financial sector, the real economy, politics, and public institutions.

Key areas of focus include:

  • connecting leading academics, financial institutions, companies, and representatives from politics and public institutions at the European level,
  • creating a cross-border dialogue on the regulatory, economic, and institutional conditions required for a well-functioning Savings and Investments Union,
  • developing and discussing academically grounded insights and concrete policy recommendations,
  • organising conferences, roundtables, seminars, and other dialogue formats,
  • publishing positions on the Savings and Investments Union.

Bringing Academia and Practice Together

A key objective of the Association is to closely connect academic expertise with practical experience. To this end, a high-level Scientific Advisory Board will bring together distinguished experts from relevant disciplines, support the Association’s substantive work, and provide well-founded input for positions and recommendations.

Different professional and institutional perspectives will be incorporated in order to examine specific issues relating to the Savings and Investments Union from multiple angles.

Strengthening Europe’s Investment Capacity Together

The Savings and Investments Union can make a significant contribution to Europe’s economic future by creating better investment conditions, more efficient capital markets, stronger participation by citizens in the capital market, and improved financing opportunities for European companies, innovation, and transformation.

The Association aims to support this development over the long term and to promote exchange between academic expertise, business practice, and political decision-making.
